How long will the engraving last?
The lifetime of the rock. To explain more, every rock has a different makeup and every engraving has its own details. The more detail the less depth of the engraving the less time it will last. Normally we are talking 20 years or more for rocks but softer igneous rocks allow moisture to intrude below the Lithichrome stone paint and will slowly pop it off over time. Covering your rock in the winter to keep the elements off will definitely lengthen the amount of time it will last.
Can I bring my own rock?
Yes, please send a photo first to make sure we can engrave on it.
Although we can engrave on anything, the final product may not be what you had in mind.

Rarely, limestone is much softer than granite so the paint will need to be touched up every few years. This is not what we want for our customers.
